This is a two-day private course for the flower enthusiast who is looking to do a bit more than dabble within the world of flowers. Led by House of Margot Blair lead florist, this course will widen your floral horizons to not only gain the skill sets needed to master the art of flowers, but will also expose you to the floral community around you, teaching you how to operate within it.
Day One:
- Take a guided tour of the city’s local wholesalers and product markets to learn how and where to source materials.
- Bring your bounty back to the Margot Blair Floral studio to learn how to process, store, and prep your flowers for various uses, how to select and prep the appropriate containers for your needs, and how to put your professional-grade supplies to good use.
- Enjoy a Q & A session with our lead designer and florist team
Day Two:
- Receive concentrated, hands-on training on how to create three different types of arrangements.

- Boutonnieres and Corsages

- Centerpieces
- Wreaths and Garlands
- Learn how to style and capture professional looking photographs of your creations, using little more than natural light and a smart phone.
This course package includes everything you’ll need within this two-day workshop, including your flowers and supplies (all of which you will be able to take home), note taking necessities, lunch and beverages, and transportation to and from our field trip destinations. Travel costs and accommodations are not included.
